Daniele Calabrese
Founder and CEO
Daniele is the former Communications Officer with the Development Communications Division,
World Bank, Washington DC with a focus on wireless technology, infrastructure,
telecom, energy, public sector reform and climate change. During his tenure,
he initiated the idea of the First World Congress on Communication for Development.
He spearheaded numerous other international communications efforts, many involving
the uptake of mobile technologies around the world. He holds an MA in International Affairs
from George Washington University, and a Political Science degree from Istituto Universitario Orientale
in Naples, Italy.
Ken Manning
COO
Ken has more than 15 years experience in new media and is the founder of betterPropaganda,
a leading music discovery site representing 600+ major and indie labels. Early on, he helped
to build Razorfish’s profitable SF/Silicon Valley office from 10 to 160 employees, leading
operations and all regional teams on large, strategic projects for Sega, Cisco, Intel, and others.
Ken played a key role in the early stages of development for eMachines, Acer Online,
and eBay while at Razorfish, as well as Jack Valenti’s Global Fund and
the W.H.O.’s digital field efforts while principal at Radiant Interactive.
He is also the former CEO of the music and entertainment portal, SCAPE,
a Village Roadshow venture where he grew operations, staff of 120, developed the
company's brand and product strategies and attracted major sponsors. He has an MBA
from Rensselaer (RPI) and studied history and philosophy at Marquette, health sciences at Columbia.
David Porter
CFO
David is the founder of the Webby-nominated 8tracks,
lauded by Om Malik, Thrillist and others as the best
playlist site on the web. He helped lead Live365, a top
Internet radio network and pioneer of user-generated audio programming,
until June 2006, overseeing non-technical operations and
achieving profitability in November 2005.
Prior, he spent 5 years at Arthur Andersen.
David is a CPA, with an MBA from UC-Berkeley
and a BS in Accounting from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Dina Hellerstein
Advisor Content Strategy and Partnerships
With a long career in the entertainment world, Dina acted as legal and content partnership advisor to MySpace
Music, Yahoo!, LionsGate, Veoh and Howcast. As former VP and Assoc. General Counsel at Yahoo, she orchestrated and
implemented various music and copyright policies for the company. Previously, she acted as in-house legal counsel
with EMI Music and was also at the leading law firm Paul, Weiss, et al. She has her JD from Columbia and a BA and
BSE from the University of Pennsylvania.
Thomas Quinto
Lead Mobile Developer
Thomas was recently the VP Engineering at Boxbe, an Esther Dyson
and Draper Fisher Jurvetson backed online email-filtering service.
He is also a veteran of Adobe and Wyse Technology, with 13 years of industry experience
implementing large-scale, high-performance systems for payment processing,
investment analysis, electronic music distribution, and software virtualization.
Thomas has a BS, Computer Science from Stanford University.
Philip McAllister
Lead Software Engineer
Philip was a paid coder at his first Internet startup when he was still in high school
in the mid-90s. He is currently the Principal Computer Scientist and partner at Radiant
Interactive and betterPropaganda. He was previously a computer scientist
at the Naval Research Lab in Washington DC, creating mobile visualization tools used
in the field by the US Navy. He has a BS, Computer Science, from the University of Tulsa.
Kathleen Bunshoft
Director of Marketing
Kathleen is a veteran direct-to-consumer marketer with deep expertise in
customer acquisition & retention and partner marketing. She has held senior
positions in both online media and ecommerce. At Kodak Gallery (Ofoto), she
developed major customer channels by partnering with Kodak and other Fortune
500 partners. Within the Kodak digital consumer photography ecosystem, she
integrated and marketed Kodak Gallery services via the web, CRM, camera &
software products and at retail. At Excite@Home she pioneered a successful
integrated digital promotional model, exchanging advertising revenue, brand
affiliation, content and users with music and entertainment industry
partners including MTV and Universal Television. She has her B.A. in
Literature and Rhetoric from Binghamton University in New York.
Greg Korn
Designer and Editor
Greg is a writer, illustrator, and fine artist specializing in new media narrative. He earned his BA in English
from George Washington University in 2003, where he won the Senior Fiction Prize and had his first publication in
The GW Review. Focusing on the mechanisms of cultural production as influenced by environment and technology,
Greg's work uses songs, images, animations, reporting, and interactive web content to tell stories from alternate
histories and fictional worlds. Co-founder of goodluckbadluck.net, Greg is the
principal creator of it's the way i disappeared above and below, a work of audiovisual fiction recently featured
on San Francisco's Pirate Cat Radio. Frequently working with musicians, record labels, game designers, and
filmmakers, his images and writing have appeared on album covers, t-shirts, posters, websites, press kits,
one-sheets, and print ads. As a contractor for Gametank Inc., Greg worked on the visual and narrative development
of a musical instrument-based computer game since sold to Ubisoft and currently in development for console
release.
Sascha Mundstein
Director of Global Business Development
A strategist for global Internet businesses, Sascha brings operational and international experience to
soundtrckr. He has worked in hedge funds, private equity and venture capital deal structuring, as well as in IPO,
mergers & acquisitions, and turnarounds. He has also organized funding for startups in early stage and growth
phases. Significantly, Sascha has noted and pursued governance breaches in businesses in which he has been
involved, and has pursued consistently an ethical, legal and appropriate course. With many years of international
experience in the operations of New Economy blue chips such as eBay, Sascha will bring his expertise to bear on
the function of global business development. Sascha is a graduate of Harvard, INSEAD and the University of Vienna,
and a China expert.
Emil Abirascid
Journalist, founder and chief editor of Innov'azione,
a bi-monthly magazine dedicated to the Italian innovation ecosystem. Creator of
Imprese e start up – insieme per innovare, a
social network where startups, investors, enterprises, universities, incubators and scientific parks exchange
experiences and resources.
Paul Ward
Paul is a global expert on customer experience management. He has delivered corporate, customer management and
branding strategy over twenty years for dozens of multinational enterprises (Michelin, Dialog Telekom, Dubai
Holdings, the IFC, American Express, Rossia Insurance and Gulf Bank), including his own real-time kernel-based
multimedia computer startup. As Director of Strategy at Rock Creek Strategic Marketing, he helped triple its
revenues. Paul was instrumental in crafting branding communications strategies for Department of Commerce,
Department of Justice, the Committee on Homeland Security, the Carnegie Institution for Science, Public-Private
Infrastructure Advisory Facility (World Bank), and Levick Strategic Communications. As a strategist at Screen
Actors Guild, Paul helped protect actor’s rights worldwide under DMCA. He has taught customer management through
business schools (University of Maryland, American University) and globally through G-CEM (Shanghai). A former
senior consultant at USWeb/CKS, he has a global executive MBA from TRIUM (HEC-Paris, London School of Economics,
NYU-Stern).
Steven D'Onofrio
Steven is a veteran expert in the music industry – he’s the former Executive VP with 20
years experience at the RIAA. He battled early on with Napster on P2P issues, negotiated
license arrangements for clients with ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, HFA and major record labels, as well
as indies and Latino labels. Steven is a respected anti-piracy advocate with a JD from UCLA.
